Tyrannosaur Tooth – Gorgosaurus libratus

Discovered in the famed Judith River Formation, Hill County, Montana, this large tooth belongs to the tyrannosaur Gorgosaurus. It dates back approximately 76 million years (Late Cretaceous, Campanian).

Measuring 5.8 cm (2.28 inches), the tooth displays natural weathering that has produced striking and unique color patterns. It is in good overall condition—aside from one tiny crack that has been professionally filled, there is no restoration. The specimen was legally collected on private deeded land with permission.
